Terms of Use
These are the rules for using Stitch. They are short on purpose. By using the app you agree to them; if you do not, please do not use it.
What Stitch is
One question a day, answered by you and the people you have paired with. Nobody sees an answer until everyone in that thread has written one. Stitch is a small app made by a small team, offered as-is.
Who can use it
You must be 13 or older. If you are under the age of digital consent where you live (16 in parts of the EU/UK), you need a parent or guardian's permission. You need a working mobile number, because that is how signing in works.
Your answers are yours
You keep ownership of everything you write. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your answers, show them to the people in your thread once the thread unlocks, and back them up. We do not publish them, sell them, or use them to train anything.
You can export everything you have written from You → Your data, and delete your account from You → Delete my account, in the app, at any time.
What you may not do
Stitch only ever shows your words to people you chose to pair with, and either of you can end that in one tap. Do not use it to:
- harass, bully, threaten or stalk anyone;
- send hate speech, or content attacking people for who they are;
- send sexual content involving minors, or any sexual content to someone who has not asked for it;
- share someone else's private information;
- impersonate somebody;
- send spam, scams or malware;
- break the law, or use the app to help somebody else break it;
- attack the service itself — scraping, reverse engineering, or trying to reach data that is not yours.
If someone is being awful
Leave the thread. You → Add or switch → Leave ends it. They are not told, and they cannot reach you through Stitch afterwards. Everything the two of you wrote stays in your own history.
There is no report button, on purpose. Stitch is two people who chose each other and can unchoose each other in one tap — we would rather that be the answer than build a machine for people mid-argument to file complaints about each other.
If something needs a human — someone is threatening you, or using Stitch to reach you after you left — write to support@stitchdaily.app and we will act on the account. We do not read answers as a matter of course, and support cannot look them up to resolve an ordinary ticket; if something genuinely cannot be resolved without seeing it, we will ask you first.
Ads, and the things you can buy
Some extras — a bonus question, a shuffle, repairing a streak — are unlocked by watching a short ad. Ads are served by Google AdMob and are subject to Google's policies. Where the law requires it we ask for your consent first, and you can change that choice in the app.
Anything purchased is billed by Apple or Google, not by us, and their refund policies apply. We do not see your card.
Ending it
You can stop using Stitch whenever you like and delete your account from inside the app. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, or if we have to stop running the service. If we shut Stitch down we will give you reasonable notice and a way to take your answers with you.
The boring but necessary part
Stitch is provided "as is". We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep every right your local law gives you, and nothing in these terms takes those away.
Stitch is not a counselling, medical or crisis service. If you or someone you are stitching with is in danger, contact your local emergency services.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
